Testimonials
2 years ago I had the opportunity to become involved with the RPG as the Chair-Elect and then Chair of the Nominating Committee. So glad I did this as I have gotten to know some stellar RDs outside of my company thus expanding my professional network. As my term was only 2 years and I wanted to continue my involvement with the RPG, I assumed the Chair for another committee and will continue to volunteer for a great AND practice group! I encourage everyone to become involved.

What an amazing time to serve the kidney community! Since joining the executive committee in 2014, I have been amazed by the work we have accomplished. I can honestly say that the investment of time and energy is worth its weight in gold. If you can dream it, we can do it. It may just take a bit of time. I have learned that patience is just as important as a good idea and that perseverance pays off. I love reflecting on the fruits of our shared labors.

The Renal Dietetic Practice Group Patient Education Committee is dedicated to the production of the patient and professional education tools. These tools include educational handouts and guides to support patient care of the renal community in the United States through current evidence-based practices. Volunteers of the patient education committee are able to create relevant educational tools which contain complex nutrition information translated into simple key points while providing clear guidance on how to follow the nutrition standards for those with CKD. Working with this group allows volunteers to learn the process of creating patient and professional education materials, as well as to network with renal dietitians across the country.
