Rory Pace has dedicated her career to Nephrology Nutrition, a field in which she is a leader, educator, and patient advocate. Rory earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s in Public Health from UCLA. She has been a board-certified specialist in renal nutrition for 20 years. Rory has published and presented on numerous nephrology nutrition topics and is a co-author of the 2020 Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Nephrology Nutrition. An active volunteer leader, Rory currently serves as Past Chair of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Renal Dietitians Practice Group and as a member of the NKF Spring Clinical Meetings planning committee. Rory has served in several other leadership roles within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and NKF/CRN. Rory received the Carol Hayes Torio Award for Excellence in Management and the Dolores Nyhus Memorial Award from the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She was recognized as Outstanding Dietitian of the Year (California) by the Academy in 2020.
