  4. Using Case Study examples, describe and identify how to determine appropriate nutrition prescriptions and effective interventions to promote change.

Kathy Schiro Harvey, MS, RDN, CSR

Kathy Schiro Harvey is Director of Nutrition Programs for Puget Sound Kidney Centers in Snohomish County WA. She has worked as a renal dietitian for over 30 years and been active in NKF-CRN and AND-RPG for most of her career. Kathy has served as board member for both organizations including RPG Chairperson and CRN Strategies II Chairperson. She was recipient of the NKF-CRN Susan C. Knapp Excellence in Education Award in 2018. Kathy has worked on KDOQI and TEP committees providing renal nutrition expertise. Kathy has authored, co-authored or edited many renal nutrition publications including professional manuals, textbooks, peer review publications and patient education pieces. She has spoken at professional meetings throughout the country on a variety of renal nutrition topics. Additionally, Kathy has volunteered as preceptor for numerous Dietetic Interns for University of Washington, Washington State University, Central Washington University, Bastyr University, University of Northern Colorado, University of Houston and Iowa State University.
