Danielle has been a Registered Dietitian for 10 years and is currently employed by Genzyme Renal as a Clinical Consultant. " I'm excited to begin my tenure as RPG's Membership Chair. I intend to interact with as many members as I can to find out what will make their membership in RPG more worthwhile".

Chhaya Patel, MA, RD, CSR
Area I/CQI-Outcomes Chair
Chhaya is the Area I Coordinator as well as the CQI-Outcomes Chair. Chhaya has been a Registered Dietitian and practicing as a Renal Dietitian for over 25 years. Currently, she is working for the DaVita Corporation as a Divisional and Area dietitian for the Sierra Pacific Division. She has volunteered for CRN/NKF and RPG/ADA for over 20 years on both the local and national levels. In addition, Chhaya has contributed over 20 articles for publication, lectures and also consults for various organizations and corporations.

Sarah Kruger, MS, RD
Area II Awards/Scholarship
Sarah obtained her BS in Dietetics from Michigan State University and her MS in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University combined with a dietetic internship through Louis Stokes VA Medical Center. She helped charter Case Western's Nutrition Association and was the Vice President at that time. Her working experiences include being a renal dietitian at RAI (Renal Advantage Inc. Care Centers) in South East Jackson, Michigan. Sarah also started her own practice counseling patients CKD Stage 2-4 in an outpatient setting. She recently obtained a position as a Clinical Specialist for use of Zemplar therapy in dialysis centers for all of Michigan; Toledo, OH; and Pittsburgh, PA. Sarah teach pilates on the side and likes to run having completed my first marathon in 2005.
Victoria Biles RD, CSR, LD
Area III/Education Chair
Victoria has been a Renal Dietitian for 20 years. She is a member of the RPG and CRN. Victoria received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her volunteer activities with NKF include several presentations for the People Like Us program. Most recently she worked on developing the study guide notes for the RPG Spring Workshop to help prepare fellow dietitians for the CSR exam. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings and has mentored maany dietitians and students in renal nutrition.

Nadiya Lakhani RD, LD
Area IV/Lending Librarian (Western U.S.)

After graduating from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Nadiya found her passion in Renal Nutrition and has been working for Fresenius Medical Care for 2 yrs. She also works as a Clinical Dietitian for HCA hospitals and as a Private Consultant for the community to keep her skills in other areas of nutrition up-to-date. Nadiya was recently appointed to assist with a study for Protocol Management with Dallas Nephrology Associates. Nadiya has been a Legislative Co-Chair for Dallas Dietetic Association, actively involved with NKF Spring Seminar and is currently serving as the Chair for North Texas CRN. She is looking forward to being involved with ADA-RPG.

Sandra Oliverio, MS, RD, CSR, CD
Area V/Lending Librarian (Eastern U.S.)

Sandra was first introduced to Kidney Disease and Dialysis during her internship at Fort Sam Houston Texas. Several years later when her local hospital decided to open a dialysis unit she was anxious to take on the job and has been working with Chronic Kidney Disease patients and Dialysis patients for nearly 20 years.
She is currently the Dietitian for two Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis units caring for both Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis patients. Sandra is active in the Indiana Chapter of CRN and South Eastern Indiana Dietetic Association. She is the mother of three children and grandmother of four. Her hobbies include being a 4-H leader, and sewing for her grandchildren.
Sandra said having the Lending Library in her home is great. It has a wealth of information and always something new to read. She encourages RPG members to take advantage of the library’s resources.

Karen Basinger, RD, LD
Area VI/Legislative/Reimbursement Chair
Karen is very involved with legislative issues pertaining to chronic kidney disease. Her most recent project is the CMS Guidelines for the requirements of the dietitian. Karen has been a Renal Dietitian since 1981. She is a member of both RPG and CRN. In addition to her work with CKD, she lectures, consults and provides outpatient MNT.

Deborah Brommage, MS, RD, CSR, CDN
Area VII/Historian Chair
Deborah Brommage has been a renal dietitian since 1991 and is currently a Renal Clinical Consultant for Genzyme. Deborah is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Renal Nutrition and a member of the NKF Board of Directors. She is also co-chair of the Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for RD’s in Nephrology Care, and editor of the Nutrition chapter in the ANNA Core Curriculum 5th edition. She has served on the CRN Executive Committee as Region I Representative, Chair-Elect, Chair and Past Chair and has chaired several CRN standing committees including Research Grant, Legislation, and Nominations.
